This legal note with respect to data protection applies to the entire content of the website www.mercoline.de. The protection of personal data is an important matter for us. This is why we carry out our business in line with applicable legal regulations to protect personal data and also for data protection. We comply with the provisions of the German Data Protection Law and other data protection regulations. In the following text you will get to know the information we may collect, how we handle it and to whom it may be made available.

Personal Data

Personal Data (§3 para. 1 German Data Protection Act) are particulars of a person, details about personal (e.g. name, address, date of birth, profession, title) or material circumstances (e.g. income, branch of industry, offered services) of a particular or determinable natural person. We shall only use the data which you make available to us to process your enquiries at Herlitz. After this process has been completed your personal details will be deleted. We shall neither sell your details to third parties nor market them in any other way. We shall only collect such personal data (e.g. names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses) which you decide to make available to us or which the appropriate legal regulations permit.  The final consumer can be forwarded to a trade partner (= e-shop of the trader). It is guaranteed that IP addresses are saved only anonymously while being forwarded. Besides the anonymised IP address, no further personal data of people are saved. We neither ask for any personal data from children or youth, nor forward this to any third party. We point out that persons below 18 years of age may not forward or transfer data online without parental approval.

Agreement

We shall only use your details for marketing purposes such as Online-surveys if you have specifically given your consent. Consent is given electronically and can be withdrawn by email at any time. You will find the consent declaration on the customer services contact form.

Communication or user-specific information

If you access our webistes via telecomunnication services, then communication-specific information (e.g. Internet protocol address) or user-specific information (e.g. information regarding start of use and duration and the telecommunication services you used) is produced automatically. This may enable links to be made to personal details. Insofar as collection, processing and use of your communication and usage details is necessary the legal regulations with regard to data protection shall apply.

Automatic collection of non-personal data

If you access our websites, occasionally information is collected automatically (i.e. not via registration) which is not assigned to a specific person (e.g. Internet Browser used and operating system; Domain name of the last website you visited, number of visits; average visit time; sites accessed). We use this information to evaluate the attractiveness of our websites and to improve their content and efficiency. 

"Cookies" - Information which appears automatically on your PC

Obligation to data secrecy and protection of telecommunication confidentiality

All staff of Mercoline GmbH who come into contact with personal data have been carefully selected and obligated to §5 German Data Protection Act (secrecy). Furthermore, we likewise subject employees to maintenance of telecommunications secrecy in accordance with § 88 Telecommunications Act, as long as the employee takes part in the delivery of business-related telecommunications services as part of his/ her work.

Links to other websites

Our website has links to external websites. Since we do not have any influence on their content, we cannot assume any guarantee for the correctness of the contents. For the contents of these external sides, the respective provider or operator is always responsible. We reviewed the external sites for possible breach of the law at the time of linking and could not find any kind of legal violations. Since we cannot perform permanent review of all contents of the sites linked by us without any real points of concern, we can delete links that lead to an external site with illegal contents only after breach of the law has come to our knowledge. Should such a breach of the law become known to us, we will delete the link immediately.
