Truma modernises export processes through digitalization and automation
Truma, the leading manufacturer of heating and air conditioning systems for recreational vehicles, has used the introduction of ATLAS AES 3.0 to modernise its export processes. With the new features of AES 3.0, companies like Truma can now benefit from a simplified and more transparent export process that facilitates the handling of international shipments. We are pleased to announce that we have been an official member of the Federal Association of Customs Software Manufacturers (BVZH) since 1 August 2024. The Federal Association of Customs Software Manufacturers acts as a central interface and driving force in the planning and introduction of electronic customs systems in Germany. The association represents the common interests of software providers in this area in Germany. To this end, the BVZH works closely with the German Customs Administration on future processes and interfaces.

In order to prevent companies with CO2-heavy production (and similar climate-damaging emissions) from relocating their production to third countries due to the costs of the EU ETS (emissions trading), the European Commission has created a compensation mechanism to prevent carbon leakage - the relocation to countries with less stringent climate protection laws.

Transport logistics updates in the first half of 2024
The digitalisation of transport logistics will progress even further in 2024. The new year will see important projects for shippers who use DHL Express, UPS or FedEx with M.TransportCommunicator or M.ShippingRates: FedEx and UPS have announced major API modernisations that will be supported with updates to M.ShippingRates and M.TransportCommunicator in early March 2024. Due to the mandatory changes that FedEx and UPS are introducing, shippers must implement important interface updates by June 2024 to ensure uninterrupted shipping. The focus of the interface updates is to further increase the cyber security of the transport service provider backends. Mercoline will support you in this project with targeted implementation support and the appropriate software. There will also be two webinars specifically for the UPS migration in January 2024.
