Volle Integration von Abholungen und Retouren in Ihr SAP-System

The major automotive manufacturers have been doing this for a long time: they don't have deliveries made to them, but pick up the goods themselves from the supplier. This provides them with cost advantages, facilitates their own ramp planning and improves the handling processes. It's a concept that more and more medium-sized companies are discovering.

Process collection in SAP

Deliveries by suppliers are often a sensitive issue. Agreed deadlines are not met, order and delivery quantities do not match, the transport flat rates are usually excessive and the processing effort for incoming goods and in accounting is considerable. With a "pick-up concept", medium-sized companies are also increasingly taking control of deliveries.

In a collection process, it is agreed with the supplier that he will provide the goods "ex works" for collection. In this case, the supplier does not commission the transport, but the buyer handles it himself. This is usually advantageous from the buyer's point of view, because with a pickup process he can better plan the entire transport and goods receipt process and reduces his own costs in the process.

Automated processes

The buyer creates a pickup request with M.TransportCommunicator in SAP ERP and the pickup is notified to the supplier.

Tracking data

With M.TransportCommunicator, tracking functionality is activated during pickup. Tracking provides the data for more effective ramp planning.

Simpler freight cost accounting

The tracking data enable better control and evaluation of the delivery process. They are a reliable basis for freight cost accounting and also enable the use of the credit memo procedure. Invoices can now be processed automatically and relieve the accounting department.

More effective goods receipt

The buyer prepares labels with their own reference numbers and their own transport service provider uses the prepared labels, which then significantly simplify the receipt of goods.

Better rates

The supplier's (excessive) transport flat rates are eliminated, and the transport volume with the company's own carrier increases and improves the rates.

Process customer returns in SAP

The same process can also be used for handling customer returns. Prepared labels, dedicated transport orders and monthly invoices instead of individual transport invoices reduce return costs and also improve customer service. In the event of a customer complaint, Customer Service can automate the entire handling process. These processes are set up and configured in SAP ERP and M.TransportCommunicator.
