M.SecureTrade ATLAS customers benefit from early recertification

Why do more and more SAP users rely on customs software from Mercoline?

Mercoline was one of the first companies in Germany whose solution M.SecureTrade ATLAS was certified by German customs for ATLAS customs processing. Over 15 years later, in the fall of 2022, Mercoline was again one of the first customs software providers to be recertified for the ATLAS AES 3.0 release.

Why is this release a special release? With the new ATLAS release from Customs, companies are facing the biggest ATLAS changeover since the beginning of electronic data transmission to Customs. All messages in the export area have been adapted to the requirements of the new Union Customs Code. In addition to these comprehensive changes within the messages (structure and content), new messages were added, data communication was converted to the XML transmission format, and procedural processes were fundamentally adapted. More about the changes can be found in a previous Mercoline blog post.

More importantly, Mercoline customers can switch to the new M.SecureTrade ATLAS release in time for the end of the soft migration on July 16, 2023. Thus, they are on the safe side to fulfill all new requirements of the ATLAS Release AES 3.0 in the future. But not only the new software is ready. Since the entire data communication is handled by Mercoline EDI Services from a single source, users do not have to worry about this either. The technical adjustments in communication with customs have already been made. On the key date of the changeover to the new release, Mercoline will automatically convert the communication.

Mercoline's SAP consultants and foreign trade experts also prepared for the roll-out phase in good time. Not only do they have to support a large number of customers, they also have to provide comprehensive technical and content-related advice to many customers. Often, customer-specific enhancements have to be adapted in the SAP system. Since the Mercoline solutions are fully integrated into the SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA systems of the customers, necessary adjustments can be implemented very quickly.
