Getzner Textil AG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-quality clothing damasks (Africa damask) and fashion fabrics for shirts and blouses. In terms of digitalization, Getzner is very progressive and future-oriented and therefore relies on the solutions of Mercoline's M.SecureTrade Suite for preference management in SAP. In the joint project, the supplier-side supplier declaration was implemented.

In order to take advantage of preferential agreements, written proof of preference is required. It proves the origin of the goods to be exported in the EU. The proportion of all articles purchased from third countries must be calculated and documented in a comprehensible manner.

(Long-term) supplier declarations serve as proof. The documents must be requested from the suppliers, the declarations monitored and reminders sent if necessary. It is also necessary to check the formal validity of the declarations, e.g., whether the binding wording has been adhered to.

Finally, the reported data must be evaluated and transferred to the ERP system. Depending on the customs agreement, different rules apply for calculating the origin of goods and for preference declarations. In addition to the standard supplier declaration process, processing has been implemented for materials with the preferential country of origin Turkey.

By using up-to-date communication channels such as the Mercoline web portal, high response rates for supplier declarations are achieved. With the help of simple, user-friendly interfaces, the documents can be processed and reported back quickly and without errors on the supplier side.
